i can’t hide it any longer!
July 21, 2008
I’m working on a new joint, which I hope to unveil soon. (It makes this place look more than a little shoddy.) I’m so excited, I want to squeetle!* Here’s a sneak peek:

*Squeetle (skw?t’l) n. 1. something terribly cute that makes a little squeaky noise when you squeeze it too hard 2. something that likes to be squeezed in this fashion 3. something that runs around squeaking all the time. v. 1. the act of squeezing a squeetle. Get over here, or I’m gonna squeetle you.**
**I totally made this word up.

Got something to say?

Ay, ay, ay! That’s smokin’!
Honey, I changed some of the pics out since you last saw it. What do you think!!!!
*squeetles loudly and jumps up and down thrice*
Noah, stop it! You are 12. You can’t talk to me like that. I mean it. now go to your room.
#1 — i see what you mean.
#2 — the new site completely rocks. holy crap! wow! wow! wow!
Woooeee! That looks somewhat spectacular my friend! I am sooo excited for you. Can’t wait to see it in full. Having a launch party?!
Oe, oe! Can I please, pretty please borrow ’squeetle’ for a day or two? I want to tell the world about squeetle…..squeetle, squeetle, squeetle! I JUST LOVE IT! I want to squeetle squeetle! But in stead, can I squeetle you, can I, can I?
An the ‘new look’ is soooo sexy!
PDW, Heh. Iz cool, no?
Kay, somewhat? Somewhat???
Ka, is that you again Kay? If so, hes ~ you can borrow squeetle. If not, I have to know who you are before you borrow squeetle or attempt to squeetle me.
love it, especially that top pic.
Hi Deezee. I love love love that image, too. I got permission from the photographer to use it. It’s so yummy. I am head over heels for it.
It would be cool if you set the pictures to change on a regular basis.
Oh and I should add that I’m happy you’re discovering the real reason for going self-hosted, as far as I’m concerned; the joy of endless tinkering with the template. So much more fulfilling than actually creating content, some days.
Dana,
The new blog looks great. Congrats. Huzzah!
On the topic of spanking machines, please see: http://dangutstein.blogspot.com/2008/01/labour-saving-devices.html
Cheers,
Blood And
Know me, of course you know me……You tried to marry me last week if I remember correctly! Pfft!
Dave, good suggestion. I will work on it. I can switch images out manually really easily. (This template is a DREAM to work with. You would love love love it.) I have to get permission from each photographer whose work I use, so adding to my collection of photos will take a little time.
Also, I can manipulate the template to have my latest post excerpted on the homepage. I think that would be pretty sweet, too.
I discovered the real reason for going self-hosted years ago with Poetry Thursday and then Read Write Poem. I just never wanted to much with it for my own blog. Until NOW! I couldn’t resist the magazine-style Wordpress themes that have been coming out. They are to die for.
Blood And: Huzzah back atcha!
Hey, something related to spanking machines? Get. Out. Here I go to check it out, dood.
Ka, oh hai! I totally know who you are now. I had to scan my brain for a sec, since I tried to marry at least a dozen people on Facebook last week. Heh. So yeah, hai!
I still owe you e-mail. I super duper suck. Bad Dana.
I am so freakin’ jealous. In a really, really good way. I don’t think this weekend will work, and seing this again just makes me want to squeeze. I mean squeetle. I am so using that word.
Another jilted bride. I wondered when that was going to happen…
I am incredibly jealous of your new joint. It is loverly!
Oh, you are just super duper….. Anyway, I figured that if you are allowed to invent your own Dana-patented words, then I can uninvent the word ’suck’. It’s officially uninvented and you are therefore not allowed to use it anymore in any context that is remotely related to putting yourself down. Howz that!
Deb! I want this weekend to work. Can I download a template and start messing with it this weekend?
Thanks, Slynne.
Ka!!!! I love you for uninventing the word suck! Thank you, thank you. Can you also uninvent the word “work” so then I don’t have to do any? Please, please, pretty please.
dana, your new joint is fantabulous! i am in awe at your blog template-tweaking skills!
and oh, can i borrow the word ’squeetle’ too?
Feel free, Odessa. I need to get it listed in Urban Dictionary, but I am too lazy. I invented it years ago.
Done!
Ka, I need it invented back by Thursday since I have an interview for a new job. Can you reinvent what you’ve uninvented?
It’s a gorgeous somewhere, really beautiful. I’m jealous of your technology skills! It’s a great way to showcase your writing, which totally deserves new digs.
Thanks, Christine. Let’s not bank on my technology skills until I prove I can actually import the content without screwing the whole place up.
No!
I have a sneaky suspicion you are going to use it somewhere in your description of the interview, right? Right!
However, since you are so terribly desperate for a word, how about using splendid, stupendous or wonderful?? Just a few suggestions….
Ka, I meant can you reinvent the word “work,” since I undoubtedly will have to use it in my interview at some point.
Ah, I see…But the good news is it was never univented. You see, I couldn’t, it was pay day today and if I uninvented it, I would never ever ever received my hard earned money. So problem solved!
Ka, you lied to me! Promise-breaker.
Actually, it’s OK. Truth be told, I sort of like working. Go figure.
O_o…I’m in so much trouble!!!
Durn tootin’ you are! Luckily I am a forgiving person. So get here and let me squeetle you!
Wohoo! I got squeetled by Dana! Naah nah nah naah naah!
